Just like any other nation, the country of Canada has laws that people from other countries are not quite so sure why they are necessary. They either feel that these laws are so outlandish that they should not fall within the institution of law. Or they feel that these laws are so minor that they come to appear to be a violation of people’s personal freedoms. Others feel that there is no need to waste the time and energy devising these Canadian laws, simply because they go without saying, especially without written stipulation. Nevertheless, these laws are a facet of Canadian law and must be respected as such.
One of the Canada laws that people from other countries seem to shake their heads to is the fact that there is a Canadian law that states that you may not climb trees. Therefore, a person who is caught climbing trees is subject to the legal penalties that come along with committing such an illegal action. Although this is a law that many adults have to concern themselves with, it is only natural for children to be aware and concerned with this Canadian law, as well. After all, no one wants to be legally punished for climbing a tree.
There are other Canada laws that touch upon the responsibilities that homeowners have that live in the country. One of the Canada laws that homeowners are to adhere to in this regard involves the snow. There is a law in Canada that holds the homeowners responsible for making sure that the snow is cleared in those areas where the municipal property lies. This means that some Canadian homeowners can expect to extend that snow plowing to their local legal office. Although they are typically not responsible for clearing the snow from the entire building or area, they are certainly responsible for making sure that the walkways and other civilian designated pathways are cleared.
There is a Canadian law that states that people are not to water the lawn while it is raining. While such an action may have been visibly obvious for most nations, the Canadian government felt the need to make this a law. On the other hand, there are some who say that they see why the country decided that they would specify such a mandate. They feel that this is a great way for Canada laws to come forth to show the people that they are to not commit those actions that are going to hurt the environment. That is to say, if mother nature so has it that there is rain that is coming down, you do not have to like it, but you do have to respect it. There is no need to have to water your lawn if mother nature has provided the resource to replenish your crops without you having to do any work at all. So there is no need to tamper with this.
There is another Canadian law that forbids people from urinating publicly in the city. Most people are well aware of the fact that this is one of the moral laws that they are to follow, but just in case there was any doubt in their mind whatsoever as to whether or not this is an appropriate action, there is a Canadian law that serves to make that final confirmation. Nevertheless, there are people who say that this is just yet another way that the nation of Canada is showing their countrymen that they must respect the country to which they live. This means that they are to keep it clean and take no action that will serve to stray away from that.
One of the Canada laws that you will hear people debate about from time to time is a law that addresses the business retail space in the city of Quebec. It seems as though when we enter a new decade, the debate commences into heavier commotion once again. The Canadian law states that the business signs that are put up in the city of Quebec are to be written in the language of French. Some simply view this law as the “Canadian way” and do not question it either way. Then there are others who do not question the law because they highly support it. Some say this because they like the fact that the French language will be represented in the main land, especially since that is that language that most people understand. Some tend to feel as though this is one of the additional ways that Canada can work to stay true to its roots. They gladly accept the law, and see this as one of the traditional approaches to making the nation of Canada always have its unique personality. Then there are some who feel that this and other similar Canada laws do not allow for people to show what is truly unique about them and their businesses. They say that it does not allow them to express what it is that they would like to. They feel that just as the country of Canada has roots that they are proud of, there are also roots that they have established to which they are proud of, and they want to be able to have that shine through, even on the city streets of Quebec in a business sign or banner. They feel that a more modern seeming law in this regard will allow them to do just that. After all, they must highly respect the roots of Canada if they have chosen to share their personal expressions in the city of Quebec.
One of the Canada laws that some get a bit taken aback by is the fact that there is a Canadian law that says that you are not to remove bandages in public. Some people understand why in certain contexts, such a law would be of high importance, and in others, not so much at all. Some people say that this is a law that should be strictly related to the food industry. They say that there should not be any implication whatsoever that this law could apply to anything else. They feel that if a person is removing a bandage in public, it must be for good reason, so there is no need for this law to exist to begin with. Others feel that no one is going to be able to take off a bandage in public, anyway, if they truly have a serious injury. Finally, some people feel that if a person has a minor injury, then who is going to notice, let alone care that a person has taken off a bandage in public?… unless it is a food associated place.
There is a Canadian law that states that there are to be no depiction of crimes in or on a Canadian comic book. Such comic books will be banned from the nation. Whether the crimes that are depicted in the book are based on a true story, or are completely made up, they will be banned from the book. A complete description as to what characterizes as a banned crime that meets this criteria is listed within the full legislation of the law. For some people that is the aspect of the comic books that they like the most, so they are a bit taken aback why there would be a Canadian law that takes away this very aspect away from them. Then there are others who appreciate that there is a law that has been named that makes this kind of ban on comic books. They just feel that it should not apply to all comic books. They feel that it is a good thing that the nation is trying to do by making sure that crime is not glorified, especially in a medium that is marketed towards young children. On the other hand, those same people feel that adults are also a large audience to which comic books are targeted towards, so their recreational fun should not be blocked in such a manner. Therefore, the feeling is that the law should only apply to those specific books that are marketed towards children, or comic books should have some kind of parental advisory system. They should have a system which is similar to tobacco in which minors are not to be sold comic books that have an adult theme, such as those who feature pictorial images of crime.
